We are a successful local company with a turnover in excess of £3.5 million with sales growing 15-20% per annum and are seeking an additional Account Manager based at out UK office in Hook.
We offer a generous salary of between £25 and £35k with an annual bonus of up to 10% of salary. Working Mon to Fri 8.30am to 5pm with free parking and 23 days holiday plus a Christmas shut down. We are a niche specialist engineering company supplying bespoke industrial products across a wide range of engineering applications.
As an Account Manager you will be working in an open plan office with a small highly experienced and dynamic team which includes the Managing Director, Sales Director and Operations Director. This is mainly an office-based role primarily but will eventually develop into occasional visits to new and existing clients.
Our Account Manager roles are very much that as we are NOT a cold calling company and offer a true account management service to our client base managing incoming sales enquiries, developing relationships and providing technical knowledge and expertise.
The main duties will be as follows:-
Negotiate prices/margins with both customers and suppliers.
Calculate costs/margins, currency conversions and collection/transportation costs.
Take new business enquiries, up sell and follow up those worth developing further.
Develop a deep understanding of our product portfolio and key markets in which we operate.
Full sales cycle involvement with responsibility for all aspects of decision-making process.
Eventually leading to create and develop strategic relationships with new and existing customers/suppliers at both service/management and board level where necessary.
In return we can offer a generous salary without the pressure of needing to achieve a high commission to secure your required OTE. The Account Manager role has the potential to develop into a more senior position along with the associated financial and share options that would go with it.
To be successful you should have proven experience within an account management or sales role within an engineering or technical environment whereby you should have the ability to work with our diverse product range and specifications.
