Our client is looking for an Assistant Manager for their family run 17th Century pub situated six miles outside of Chichester West Sussex. Your role will be serving guest drinks and food but the main focus is on the food service as this contributes to about 60% of the business. The restaurant seats about 65 people and has a very busy weekend trade as well as a steady mid-week business. This role is a very hands on position where your focus will be guest satisfaction and delivering exceptional customer service. You will be someone that ideally has a food and beverage background with some supervisory / management experience.
Reporting to the owner and working alongside another Assistant Manager you will be responsible for rotas, cashing up at the end of the shift. Stock control, Managing the restaurant bookings meeting and greeting guests and making sure they receive exceptional service.
The restaurant is open from 12pm to 21.30 Monday to Sunday so your working shifts will be based around these hours with occasional cashing up at the end of the shift. Working approximately 50 hours a week over 5 days.
Salary will be based upon experience and will be in the range of 24K – 26K per annum. There are gratuities given which can be up to 5K per year.
Due to location you will need your own means of transport.
Benefits will be a contribution pension, gratuities paid , 28 days holiday entitlement. Training to NVQ level 3 and other training courses can be available.
