My client is seeking a Demi Chef De Partie to work in their rosette standard kitchen.
The role would be suited an experienced Commis chef who has worked in a similar environment.
To carry out the service of lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, to the customer to the standard of the establishment and to AA rosette standard.
To control and maintain stock and to place food orders with suppliers, when necessary
To maintain a neat and tidy appearance and to understand the importance of hygiene.
To be responsible for the care of equipment i.e. machinery, cooking utensils, ovens etc., with the view of minimising breakages and damage.
To be responsible for the mis-en-place prior to service and before rest days
To ensure that all work areas are always clean and hygienic.
To ensure that fridges are clean and all containers of prepared food are date stamped.
To carry out any customer requests or if unable to do so, to pass them to the Head Chef.
To ensure all accidents are reported in accordance with the policy in the Accident Book.
Previous experience at a similar standard is essential, and NVQ or equivalent qualifications in Food Preparation are also desirable. The role offers the opportunity to learn and excel through under guidance from the Head Chef.
