Health and Safety Co-ordinator
Monday-Friday 08.00-17.00 (Flexibility is essential as occasional evening, weekend and night working may be required)
My Client has a new opportunity for someone to join the operations department, as a Health and Safety Co-ordinator.
The successful candidate will assist and support the Health & Safety Manager in providing efficient and effective management of health and safety for the whole site, in accordance with health & safety legislation and Company standards, policies and procedures. They will cover the role when the Health and Safety Manager is not available. They will complete workplace safety inspections, assist with developing and implementing a positive health and safety culture, identify problem areas and solutions and suggest improvements. They will plan, monitor and implement safety training, write and review Risk Assessments and assist with compliance of ISO standards.
To apply for this role you must have or be able to demonstrate previous knowledge, skills and experience in the following areas:
- NEBOSH General certificate (essential)
IOSH (Managing/working Safely) (desirable)
Knowledge of ISO 9001,14001, OHSAS 18001 and 45001
Excellent I.T. skills with Microsoft Office
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships with good influencing and negotiation skills
Experience in working in a logistics warehouse or dock environment
