We are a leading international engineering business based in Camberley and due to growth are now seeking a Workshop Technician to join our workshop. This is an excellent opportunity to join an organisation that provide their products and services on a worldwide stage and employ over 100 personnel at our Head Office and over 15000 worldwide.
This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday and our standard working hours are 8.30am- 4.50pm and 4.25 Fridays albeit the Workshop do tend to start earlier and finish early due to flexible working hours on offer.
In return we can offer a starting hourly rate of £10.87p/h plus holiday accrual and after successful probationary period a full benefits package. The hourly rate will also increase on successful completion of the probationary period and other in-house training where earning potential can be in excess of £13p/h.
We are looking for an individual who is seeking to progress their career within the manufacturing and engineering sector within a technical role. The successful individual will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be a team player and have a technical aptitude with no previous experience necessary. Therefore, we will look at candidates from production, retail, warehouse and recent students who have completed their studies within engineering or alike looking to put their studies into practice.

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the main duties working as the Workshop Technician are as listed below:
Dismantling and reporting on condition of Heat Exchangers
Operation of specialist machinery for cleaning of Heat Exchanger components
Manual refurbishing Heat exchanger parts
- The role involves all aspects of Plate Heat Exchanger refurbishment including:
Wash down of plates using jet pressure washers.
Chemical cleaning of units
Use of Nitrogen tank for stripping gaskets.
Use of acid and caustic tanks for cleaning.
Inspection of plates using fluorescent dye
Gluing and applying gaskets.
Building and integrity testing of heat exchanger units.
Interfacing with work procedures and time logging systems
Routine maintenance of work shop machinery, equipment and chemicals
General workshop duties
Ensure quality and health and safety procedures are adhered to
Flexible and adaptable approach to manage multiple tasks to suit business demand
To be considered for the role of Workshop Technician you will ideally have some experience working within a workshop, warehouse or production environment albeit this is not essential. Individuals with no experience but a BTEC or equivalent in engineering, manufacturing or technical studies will also be considered.
