Reporting to the Internal Sales Manager the Internal Sales Administrator is responsible for providing sales and technical support to an allocated market, acting as a central coordinator supporting the smooth transition of orders through the business. This role provides sales support to the UK and Export field sales teams. The role is vital in maintaining satisfaction and credibility with our extensive customer base.
The main duties are as follows:-
Responsible for account management of own territory within the internal sales role.
Assessing the application and specifying the correct products for equipment proposals/sales including the calculation of product costing and proposal preparation. Ensuring customer requirements are fully understood.
Assessing incoming orders for correct commercial details and machine specification, electronic entry of order details and written acknowledgement of orders to the customer.
Calculation of product costing and preparation of proposals via e-commerce and telesales.
Facilitate effective communication with customers, field sales team,distributors and internal functions, e.g. engineering, relating to the completion of customer orders and resolution of application / delivery issues.
Month end reporting using Excel, queries etc, to Management to include accurate order intake and commission values.
Participate in the development of a customer facing and commercially aware Internal Sales team.
Develop the use of customer relations management (CRM) within the salesteam.
Participate in related projects that deliver on-going improvements to our processes.
Promote inter-departmental team working. Liaising with procurement,engineering and manufacturing teams as required.
Reporting of KPI’s and month end Service reporting.
Conduct and assist with product testing to validate application details against order requirements.
Application report management and formatting of reporting tools.
Ability to participate in shipping administration.
General enquiries, sales leads and literature requests.
Conduct customer visits in support of the field sales team when required.
Assist hosting of customer visits to Farnborough facilities.
To be successful you should have previous sales administration, sales support, order processing or internal sales administration experience gained within a technical, engineering or manufacturing company supplying customers in the UK and overseas. You should have strong PC skills including excel and excellent attention to detail and the interest and ability to understand a technical product range.
