Working within our clean preparation area the Masker and Assembly Assistant will assist with non-technical production and masking of intricate products and coverings using small hand help equipment and tools. The Masker works as part of a team of 15 in our modern manufacturing facility with free parking and working Mon to Fri 8am to 4pm with weekly pay and paid holiday. To be successful you should have an eye for detail and accurate manual skills. The role is available asap on a temporary to permanent basis.
During the initial 3 months in this role, many tasks are learned and skills developed. Primary functions are the masking and/or de-masking of the customer products being coated. Other duties may include cleaning, surface preparation and inspection.
Understand and follow the designated processes, work instructions, Manufacturing Standard Procedures (MSP’s) and other written and/or verbal instructions.
Perform basic masking/de-masking and inspection tasks using methods and materials as specified in the designated processes using small hand tools, microscope and /or other support equipment.
Successfully complete Masker certification in accordance with internal documentation. Training will be provided

Comply with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) handling requirements when required and appropriate.
Maintain a high level of punctuality and attendance.
May perform daily tasks in a clean room environment where compliance to clean room protocol, including PPE and hygiene standards will be required.
May perform scheduled clean room maintenance.
Maintain a high level of personal hygiene.
Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
You must clearly speak, read and write English
Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions, short correspondence and memos.
Ability to perform basic math functions.
Ability to work in a seated position for extended periods of time.
High degree of manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination in order to perform precision masking and de-masking functions.
Ability to distinguish between the colors of red, orange, yellow, blue, green and violet.
Candidates with previous experience of a role that requires an eye for detail, small and detailed work such as assembly, production, catering preparation, clean room or medical/lab work would be of interest.
