Our Global Manufacturing/Engineering client based in Hampshire are seeking a new Operations Manager for their manufacturing site in China. This is a brand new position and is part of their succession planning. The ideal candidate must be willing to relocate to China and have a good understanding of the Chinese culture.
As Operations Manager you will be responsible for:
Production – both prime manufacturing and all assembly areas.
Production Engineering – the development of existing process, their maintenance and the continual improvement moving forward of all processes.
Production Planning – the setting and execution of the production plan in conjunction with both Sales and Production.
Purchasing – the sourcing and supply chain of all purchased items for AC and the group.
This should be managed locally, but in line with the Global Managers who set the strategic objectives, for whom this roll will need to work with.
As Operations Manager you will report in to the General Manager.
Experience required for Operations Manager:
Degree educated in Mechanical or Electro/Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years relevant Managerial experience in a Manufacturing discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years+ relevant experience of Managing a moulding facility, which processes both thermos sets & thermos plastics.
- Minimum of 3 years working experience within China
