Due to our continued success, we require a Quality Control Mechanical Inspector to join our team based at our friendly and modern site in Camberley reporting directly into the Managing Director of this small but successful company. We pride ourselves in producing high quality machined parts to client’s drawings and specifications at competitive prices and schedules to meet the tight budgetary demands and time constraints of its customers. We currently supply MOD, Aerospace, Military, Medical, Nano-technology, telecommunication and other smaller OEM industries.
In return we can offer a salary up to £32k plus free parking and paid overtime. The Quality Control Mechanical Inspector role will be carrying out first off and final Inspection on high quality parts produced on CNC machines using Aberlink Axiom to CMM with 3D Cad verification software and various other inspection tools. However, training can be provided for the CMM if a different system has been used in the past.
You will be carrying out inspection of incoming products from the various suppliers and sub-contractors and you should be able to interpret drawings and have a good understanding of geometric tolerance’s and drawing symbols.
You must be able to problem solve/advise of manufacturing issues identified during the inspection process and must be familiar with the latest ISO 9001:2015 standard.
To ensure all production documentation is correctly annotated and filled in, creating and recording Non Conformity and Corrective Action reports for any defect products. Maintain Internal Audit reports and schedule.
Also, the creation of First Article Inspection Reports to the AS9102 standard.
To manage and control all inspection equipment for its calibration status including shop floor equipment. In addition to pack goods ready for despatch either by our own transport or via carrier.
To be successful as our Quality Control Mechanical Inspector you will have previous inspection experience or have come from a good engineering background. You should have a good eye for detail and be able to have a good knowledge of engineering drawings and their symbols. Be proactive, have good communication skills and being able to work as part of a team by being approachable. To be meticulous with a very good work ethic and good organisational skills. To have had a good education with particular attention to Maths, English and computer literacy. Also, to have a good understanding of Health and Safety in an engineering environment.
