Due to continued growth we are seeking a Media Sales Executive to join our team who provide a leading publishing and event organising service to the aerospace sector. This is a new role reporting to the Sales Manager offering the opportunity to progress your career with a market leader who can provide the foundation for a successful media sales career. In return we offer a starting basic salary of c£20k plus a generous uncapped bonus and commission scheme meaning a realistic first year OTE of £30k can be achieved. In addition you will have the opportunity to travel to our international events and trade shows in locations such as Dubai.
The Media Sales Executive role would suit candidates possibly with 12 months plus of sales experience gained within a professional B2B sales environment where you can demonstrate success but are now seeking the next step in your career or a move into a media related sales role. You should be educated to A Level standard or equivalent and have an interest or have studied media or a related subject.
Your main responsibilities will include:-
Manage advertising and sponsorship sales across leading media portfolios within the aerospace industry
A majority of the sales will be performed over the telephone but, on occasion, some face-to-face presentations may be required such as attending international trade events
Develop new and existing business
The candidate will be expected to achieve sales targets and present accurate prospects and revenue updates on a weekly basis
Keep client database up-to-date with new and existing contacts
Work with designers and production team to ensure the smooth transition of client advertising campaigns
Work with editorial and marketing teams to consider new projects and/or brand extensions to drive revenue streams

A good sales technique including negotiation and over-coming objections
Demonstrate on overall professional approach to the sales function
With strict deadlines, must demonstrate the ability to handle pressure situations
Confident individual with a creative approach
Enthusiastic and driven to get the job done
The ability to work on their own initiative
Being comfortable in travelling internationally, on some occasions potentially alone
Good IT skills with experience using MS Excel, Outlook and Word
Good communication skills both written and verbally
The ability to adapt as negotiations will be conducted with people from various cultures
