An exciting opportunity has arisen at our corporate UK Head Office for a Graduate calibre Aftermarket Sales Support Specialist reporting to the Team Leader and in conjunction with the team in the UK and Netherlands We are an international manufacturing organisation with a diverse range of products and parts available to our aftermarket customers based worldwide. Working Mon to Fri 8.30 – 5 with free parking, 25 days holiday and an extensive benefits package we are a market leader experiencing growth at our Frimley site.
The Aftermarket Sales Support Specialist team is responsible for developing, launching and maintaining aftermarket product/market propositions, resulting in increased sales and margin for parts, consumables, accessories and other associated aftermarket products through our dealer network.
The role offers an excellent opportunity to join a world leader who can offer career progression and development working as part of an integral department to the success of the business. You will be liaising with our Aftermarket Sales teams and Dealer Networks to identify and establish missed revenue opportunities, new product requirements and gaps in the market. In addition, you will be utilising your strong analytical skills to investigate market trends, sales revenue and identify areas to investigate in order to establish further market opportunities. You will be liaising with internal departments including pricing, buying, logistics, sales and marketing to ensure the identified market opportunities, missed revenue and additional product requests are managed through to a successful conclusion and ultimately the generation of increased margin and market share for the business.
As such this is an excellent opportunity to gain a broad grasp of the operations of an internal company utilising your education, strong business acumen, analytical and communication skills.
The Key accountabilities will include:
Assuming product management responsibility for a selection of focus commodities.
Researching, analysing and evaluating new product opportunities for potential inclusion to sales offering.
Developing and maintaining a marketing improvement programme.
Providing Commercial Aftermarket Managers (CAMs) with all necessary, and often bespoke, support to maximize sales in their individual territories.
Supporting department colleagues with general administrative duties as required and providing cover during absence.
Ideally you will be educated to Degree level in a Business, Marketing, Core Subject or Engineering related discipline and be able to demonstrate relevant work experience within a manufacturing, engineering, technical or product orientated company. You should have excellent PC skills including intermediate to advanced excel and be able to demonstrate experience of liaising with customers or colleagues across a broad spectrum, ideally internationally. Any additional European language skills would be an advantage but are not essential.
