Due to continued growth we require an additional Technical Service Advisor to join our existing team of four based at our UK Head Office and distribution centre. We are an international world leading manufacturer and distributor of motorised equipment through our dealer network.
We are seeking an additional Technical Service Advisor who has a combination of mechanical engineering and customer support skills as the main function of the role is to liaise with our dealer network and end users directly over the phone to provide technical assistance.
The Technical Service Advisor will resolve customer enquiries, by answering telephone calls to the Technical department and providing timely and accurate technical information.
Main Duties and Tasks
Answering telephone calls and responding to emails from the Dealer network and end users plus internal staff regarding the full range of company products.
Investigating issues as appropriate and provide accurate, up to date technical information to the Customer over the telephone and via email.
To liaise with in-house departments e.g. technical workshop or Warehouse regarding technical issues to find out relevant information.
To keep up to date with Technical matters and to use the information sources available
To follow-up on calls where necessary, ensure that matters are resolved as quickly as possible.
To handle warranty queries and liaise with the Workshop regarding progress.
To process product registrations, warranty credits, inputting information on to SAP and raising a credit when appropriate.
To ensure a timely response to part number anomalies and provide an update of availability when parts become available.
To write reports as required by management
To identify to management any safety issues or unusual failures arising
To develop good working relationship with dealers
To assist in the Workshop as required by Manager
In order to be successful as our Technical Service Advisor you must have an understanding gained through work or education of mechanical engineering or motors. You must be able to manage and resolve a wide range of technical issues over the phone whilst providing the highest levels of customer service.
