It has been yet another great year for Personnel Selection. As the holiday season starts, there seems no sign of the business slowing down, in fact, the offices are still buzzing with new and repeat business on the last days of 2015. Anyone who knows the teams in all the branches will tell you that when they are busy is when they are at their happiest. Nothing is more important to them than getting the right people into the right positions and making sure that clients and candidates are getting the service they deserve.
There is more to their day than just work, though. You may not realise it, but the staff at each office make sure that they dedicate some time each year to helping the community, the candidates and the clients in ways other than just placements. Looking back over the last few months alone they have;
- Sponsored the dog show at the RSCPA rehoming centre in Woking. It was a great day, everyone had a fantastic time, and RSPCA got some much-needed input.
- Kept you up to date on important matters. There has been the minimum wage rise and some recent changes to legislation that could affect you. This is the kind of information the team pass on to keep you up to date and they will often, if needed, translate them from legal speak into a practical, real world, based scenarios.
- There has also been support for the BigC campaign with Fun Fridays in every branch. The staff really got behind this one because the robotic surgery centre is an important element in the treatment of conditions where microsurgery is the only option. So far over £80,000 has been raised and the staff are very proud to have been a small part of this important work. (Click here for more info: http://bigc.royalmarsden.org/robotic-fellowship-appeal).
There always seems to be something going on in every office. Last week there were Christmas jumpers on display everywhere.
On the subject of Christmas, the team have taken the decision not to send Christmas cards again this year. This is not a touch of Bah-Humbug though. Instead, each branch has been given the option to donate the money that would have been allocated to cards to a charity of their choice. As result, the following charities will be getting a little extra Christmas bonus this year.
- Our Bognor branch is supporting St Wilfrid’s Hospice in Chichester
- Our Portsmouth branch is supporting the Rainbow Centre in Portsmouth
- Our Woking branch is supporting the National Autistic Society
- Our Brighton branch is supporting the Raysteed Center For Animal Welfare in Brighton
- Our Andover branch is supporting the Wiltshire Wildlife Hospital
- Our Frimley branch is supporting Polly’s place Autism Trust
- Our Head Office is supporting Woking Hospice
So as this year draws to a close, the team are already looking forward to another great year and, when you consider this will be Personnel Selection’s 45th year in business there will probably be some celebrations on the way. 45 years in business is a pretty big achievement in any industry and even more so in recruitment. It is a real testament to the values of the business, the staff that work so hard, and the brand that has been built over the years, that Personnel Selection has such a long history.
The team would like to wish everyone the very best for the festive season
and they will see you in the new year.
