Job Description:
Personnel Selection is seeking RF Test Engineers for one of our established clients based in Andover. A fantastic role wit ample progression oppertunities. This role would suit someone keen to advance in thier electronics career.
Purpose of the role
Functional testing, programming, and building of customer products using bench top test equipment, programming software and customer supplied test procedures and build instructions. Fault finding and identification of failed units to component level.
Equipment used ( Ideally candidate will have previous knowledge of)
80 E Test Equipment, Cilloscopes, Spectrum analysers, Assist with Soldering if possible, Ideally someone who can focus on building as well as Testing
Skills Required to be considered for the role:
- Educated to at least GCSE standard or equivalent – Essential
- Hand soldering and use of fine tools and microscopes. – Essential
- Knowledge of standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes. – Essential
- Computer literate – Essential
- Previous experience of production testing and fault finding, preferably within a manufacturing environment – Ideal but not essential
- Previous experience in a PCB Testing environment – Ideal but not essential
- Use and experience of test equipment associated with RF electronics such as spectrum and network analysers – Ideal but not essential
- Electronics qualification or equivalent – Ideal but not essential.
Job Function
- Test and programming of new and existing products according to customer specifications and requirements.
- Building assemblies following customer supplied work instructions or drawings.
- Setup and strip down of ATE test racks for various board types.
- Yield measurement, recording and analysis.
- Monitor and identify failure modes and feedback possible solutions to production supervisor, management and/or engineering.
- Investigation into customer returns.
- Ensure all work is completed to specified levels of acceptable workmanship.
- Follow company procedures and work instructions at all time Follow guidance and training from colleagues and peers.
- Ensure all work is carried out and completed in a timely fashion.
- Basic maintenance of equipment and general upkeep of the workspace.
- Ensure Health & Safety of self and work colleagues at all times.
- Adhere to the Health and Safety requirements and regulations
- Adhere to the Company IT and Data policy
- Comply with the statutory requirements and regulations and Company requirements
- Carry out any other reasonable request which is for the benefit of the business
- Assist in the training of team members ensuring best practice standards are maintained.
