We are a well-established furniture and design company with a prestigious office based in Farnham and an off site warehouse facility on the outskirts of Farnham. Due to our continued success, we now require an additional Warehouse Assistant to join our existing 2 members of staff at our bespoke warehouse facility. The Warehouse Assistant role will be working Mon to Fri 8am to 5pm and offers on site parking, contributory standard pensions and 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.
The role would suit a recent College leaver or someone who has already gained some warehouse, stock or installations experience now seeking a busy and varied hands on warehouse and stock role with the opportunity to also assist our installations teams at both commercial and domestic client sites. We are happy to consider applicants who are seeking their first warehouse role as we can provide full training because our main focus of the role is to secure a candidate who is happy with a busy hands on manual warehouse role. The main duties of the role are as follows:-
Taking in mixed deliveries and putting stock away in warehouse according to client allocation
Tracking customer orders within the warehouse and storing prior to despatch
General goods in and out duties
Picking stock ready for installs and preparing for despatch
Keeping the stock and warehouse tidy
Copy delivery notes and keep paperwork up to date
Booking stock into the system
Handling all items with care
Assisting with on site with deliveries
Assisting on site with customer installs to assist the fitters – commercial and residential customers
Any other hands on or manual duties as required within the warehouse or to assist the installations team
The position requires a professional candidate who understands the importance of providing our customers with the accurate and safe delivery of their order which can be of high value. We are happy to train but need someone who is PC literate, quick to learn, confident, intelligent and keen to assist in a variety of manual duties across the warehouse and installations departments and who is capable of taking instruction and learning new tasks. Ideally you will be a car driver due to our location and be PC literate.
